Hi! I’m Emma – an English tutor with a multicultural background, a love of language, and a deep belief in learning that feels grounded, personal, and empowering. I grew up in London with a Danish mother and French father, and I speak English, Danish, and French fluently. Being trilingual has shaped not just how I communicate, but how I teach – with empathy, adaptability, and a strong focus on confidence-building.
I specialise in IGCSE and IB English Language & Literature, and I have experience within international classroom settings, including at the International School of Iceland, where I worked closely with multilingual students on both English and Danish. I’ve supported learners across levels, particularly those navigating English as a second language, helping them grow both linguistically and personally.
With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and current master’s studies in Pedagogy, I bring both academic depth and a student-centred approach to each session. I’m especially passionate about Second Language Acquisition and supporting students in finding their voice – in writing, analysis, and expression.
My students often describe me as calm, clear, and approachable. I aim to create a space where questions are always welcome, progress is celebrated, and feedback is given with care. Whether you're preparing for exams or looking to develop confidence in English, I’d love to support you on that journey.
