Hi everyone! My name is Aleksandra and I offer tutoring in Chemistry, Maths and English.
I am a graduating student at Esbjerg Gymnasium, where I study at the IB diploma program. I am so grateful to be able to provide help in my favourite and strongest subjects.
Chemistry:
As a student of Chemistry in A-level, I deeply sympathise with pupils who struggle to make sense of the various concepts within Chemistry. The curriculum is quite voluminous and very fast-paced, it is so difficult to keep up. In my practice, I see that many students give up on Chemistry after the first two months of learning it, and I understand why. Chemistry is not an intuitive science. In order to understand and possibly even love Chemistry, you need to understand the basic mechanisms behind it. My approach to teaching Chemistry would be to discover the theme that my student doesn't understand and move from there, until they can fully grasp the "science" between their assignment.
Mathematics:
What really helped me to put my foot on maths was to practice. Mathematics is a subject that can be quite complex, taking into consideration that all students are different. Luckily, mathematics is an applied science and can be explained in very simple terms. Just like children's mathematics can be explained through things that you can touch or see, like apples or matches, so can one explain maths that is more advanced. After we have reached an understanding, we would move on to practice, because practice is the key to maintaining that mathematical muscle.
English:
English is a subject that requires a lot of attention, especially when it comes to speaking and listening. If I had to relearn English over again, I would definitely start with building a habit of listening and speaking English regularly. Now, depending on your personal goals with English, my approach might vary. We can focus on whatever you need help with and I will plan my lessons accordingly. I will do my best to make my lessons as engaging and interesting as possible, tailored to your abilities and wants.
